Papercutter's Log. Star date 20.12.2017.
My first foray into decorating a Christmas tree representing my business this month.
There's a beautiful old church in my village and every year they put on this festival and my friend El tells me to do a tree but I don't. In fact, it was the first time last year that the family and I took a lovely walk to check it out. Trees by the local school, scout group, drama group, art group among many others plus trees by families. This years Hawkins family tree had the subject of their guinea pigs - inspired stuff!
I really could only go with paper decorations so I spent a happy evening making some in pretty colours. I very nearly went all white but colour won this time. The tiny bits of paper you see here never made it on to the decs. Simplicity won that day too.
My daughter and I set up the tree on a glorious blue sky day.
And I collected it on a wonderful wintery one!
And so here is my tree. You'll be unsurprised to hear that I completely forgot (in all the Christmassy excitement) to take any photos. So here is one by my chum Den - who can always be relied upon for a photo. The lights at the top hadn't been switched on but hey...you get the idea.
AND A GREAT BIG FAT THANK YOU FOR STICKING WITH ME. YOU'RE ALL VERY WONDERFUL.
